National Geographic selected the 100 best photos of 2019. It surely wasn’t easy to choose because they had to choose from two million works. But this huge number of potential winners was one of the reasons why the winning hundred works are so diverse; you will find sadness and happiness, animals in wild nature and humans in the cities. We’ll show you 30 out of the 100 photos, the rest of the works you can find on the National Geographic website.

Whitney Johnson, vice president of visuals and immersive experiences at National Geographic Partners, says that this is the magic of photography, to show usual things from a different angle. And the best authors here sure did a great job at that.
