It is considered that constant desire to remake films is a specific feature of modern cinematography, but actually in always has been. That’s why some of characters were played more than 10 times in the film history. From the first appearance on screen to the last, the understanding of portraying a character could be changed a lot. So let’s compare! And we mean not only the fictional characters, but also historical ones, that appeared on the screen many times.

Today we decided to look only at the female characters that were able to appear in several movies of completely different time periods — from the beginning of 20th century to the present day.

In some cases it even happened that the first and the last appearance of one character belonged to the same actress. However, such cases occur pretty rare, because some of the film versions may have almost 100-year difference.
