The hockey game between the New Jersey Devils and the Florida Panthers will be remembered not for the loss of the Devils, but the most unusual player introductions ever. Little fans made portraits of every player from the Devils team for Kids Day, and their drawings were shown on big screens during the players’ introduction at the beginning of the game on October 14. And not just that, they also had a kid national anthem performer and the reporter taking players’ interviews before the game was a kid.
The New Jersey Devils hockey team had a very unusual performance during their game
It was kids who interviewed players instead of adults
The PA announcer and national anthem performer were also kids, according to Yahoo Sports.
But the centerpiece was the player introductions on the big screens
Instead of a well-edited hype video, the players were introduced through children’s drawings
Players were drawn by the little fans of the New Jersey Devils
And their works are gold; there is no way you can take your eyes off them!
This is, for example, P. K. Subban
Nico Hischier
Cory Schneider
Travis Zajac
Jesper Boqvist
Sami Vatanen
Taylor Hall
No wonder these amazing portraits received so much attention on Twitter
By the end of the game, the Devils lost to the Panthers. But this game will probably be remembered not for their loss, but for the beautiful children’s drawings instead!
