How well should an artist draw to become popular? Sometimes you don’t need any skills, but only the sense of humor and great idea. The British artist, Hercule Van Wolfwinkle, proves it by creating hilarious pet portraits for donations to Turning Tides, the charity organization that works with homeless people. Now he’s swimming in commissions!
1. Hear me roar
2. For Duck’s sake
3. Brilliant photo pose
4. Koala bear
5. Triangular dog
Besides his pictures that make people laugh, Hercule adds funny phrases. For instance, he gives names to the pets. “I don’t know what he’s called, but I’ve named him…” — writes Hercule under his works.
6. That tail, that look…
7. Fluffy bun
8. Rapid running
9. It is hard to realize where the photo and the portrait is
10. Little ball of fluff
11. Beach portrait
As you see, this British man has a nice sense of humor. He is also self-ironic and calls his portraits “ultrarealistic”. Well, we can’t deny that.
12. Gracefully crossed legs
13. Vampire in sweater
14. Me and my dog
15. Dalmatian wearing sunglasses
16. Horsie
